1ml=1cc=1mm no matter which the chart is written in they are all the same. That was the most confusing thing when i did my first one i had no idea what the oil levels meant until i asked that question.

Generally you won't NEED to but if you get them back togeather and they leak oil then they definately need to changed. The air loss is likely from a top cap not being tightened down more than anything.

The springs can be cut its not the most advisable thing but it will be fine. just file the end so that its not sharp. Oil is kindof a guess. I would just add a little under what they suggest for an 80mm
